I was somewhat letdown by the Christmas festivities in Paris. There's air of American materialistic Christmas plus a transparent attempt to copy an Austrian Cristkindlmarkt... hmmm otherwise, though, Paris was great, very Parisian, of course. I definitely enjoyed my Cafe au lait and got a good look at some extremely Gothic ecclesiastical architecture.
Paris has its charms, but the Euro is not one of them. I'm glad to be back on the LEU
